Corona bridging loan for startups, scale-ups likely available from end of April

Last Tuesday, April 7, the Dutch cabinet announced that it will initially make € 100 million available for bridging loans to start-ups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs that have been financially affected by the impact of the corona crisis. The Regional Development Companies (ROMs) will provide this Corona Bridging Loan (COL). In the short term, they will make more information about the different personal loan types and the associated criteria. As indicated by the cabinet, this measure will be submitted to the European Commission and is expected to be approved in the fourth week of April. As soon as possible after that, it is then possible for companies to submit their application. To this end, the ROMs are launching a specific online portal together with TechLeap and Invest-NL. Only applications submitted online will be processed. In the coming week, they will provide detailed information about the criteria and preconditions of the Corona Bridging Loan (COL). They will also draw up an extensive Q&A for all questions that arise from entrepreneurs, but also from investment funds, for example. This Q&A will be supplemented daily.
