Successful Expert Classes

December 13 was the fifth and final Expert Class of 2019 and addressed the various aspects of funding and financing. Nearly 25 biotech and medtech startups, of which many LS@W alumni, attended the Expert Class hosted by RVO.

The session kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Onno van de Stolpe who shared his experiences with Galapagos. Two workshops followed on funding and financing for biotech and medtech companies with the participation of RVI, IQ, BGV, Blue Sparrows and Fundsup. Keep an eye on the website for the Expert Classes of 2020!

Valuable vouchers

In 2019, many startups found their way to the Value Voucher for hiring external expertise. In collaboration with the MedTechPartners foundation, eight parties made use of this scheme (X-heal Diagnostics, Zoof Wheelchairs, UV Smart, Vitroscan, SurGuide, MyBeaker, Parkinson’s Smartwatch and BedHoodie). Each party was able to cover 50% off their costs for external expertise through this voucher scheme.

In addition, many entrepreneurs were present at the four Medtech- and BiotechPartners meetings in 2019, which took place at UMC Utrecht and Qserve (Arnhem). During these meetings, the questions of entrepreneurs are linked to the expertise of supporting experts and companies. Prepare your startup for growth and visit the Value Centre!
