Venture Challenge becomes blueprint for startup support in other Top Sectors

After 11 years and 22 successful editions the Venture Challenge has been adopted by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and been made one of their official instruments. The intention of the Ministry is to expand the success that the Venture Challenge has demonstrated in the Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH; Health~Holland) to other top sectors. As of 2020 NWO will be responsible for the organisation of the Venture Challenge with the intention of linking up as closely as possible with the previous editions.

For the LSH editions the Venture Challenge continues in its proven successful format; a 10-week program with two 3-day workshops, weekly coaching sessions, a final pitch session in front of an expert jury and a €25.000 prize for the best Venture plan and Pitch. Health~Holland will stay closely involved and the Venture Challenge will remain part of LifeSciences@Work.

The Spring edition of the LSH Venture Challenge will be open for applications from Jan 21st – Feb 25th. More information on the Venture Challenge and how to apply can be found on: and
