Corporate governance structure for start-ups should identify roles, authority, and timing in key business decisions between shareholders, directors, and the CEO. But if there is a lack of governance structure across the business it could have a negative impact on the success of the company. For instance it could be much harder to attract funding from investors.
In this expert class the importance of a governance structure will be addressed. What are the criteria for a strong governance structure and what are the roles of the CEO, management team and board members. Also the planning and timeline for the evolution of the governance at different stages of the company will be discussed. This topic will be addressed from different perspectives and speakers including entrepreneurs, investors and experienced board members.
The expert class program is set up in an interactive way such that the participants have the possibility to bring their own questions and discuss issues they encounter in their own (start-up) company and/or business case. The expert class will also give the possibility to broaden the participants network.
