Innovating Healthcare Together (Samen slimmer innoveren in de zorg)

Health Valley and OnePlanet Research Center are once again joining forces for an inspiring afternoon where both networks come together to exchange fresh ideas, build new connections and explore concrete examples of how technological innovation is strengthening healthcare.

During the programme, Maartje Claassen (Sara Robotics) will share insights in “A Long-Term Commitment and Truly Caring Together”, highlighting that innovation in long-term care only succeeds when technology is aligned with people, processes and genuine collaboration. This is followed by Dr Laura Kooij (Rijnstate Hospital), who will present “Innovation and Healthcare Transformation at Rijnstate Hospital”, illustrating how innovative solutions contribute to future-proof, efficient and human-centred care.

Together, these perspectives demonstrate how the region is collaboratively shaping better healthcare for everyone.

This year’s programme has an additional highlight: the regional pre-selection of the National Healthcare Innovation Award 2026. Eight nominated innovators from Eastern Netherlands will present their solutions to both the audience and the jury, showcasing how smart technologies and new approaches contribute to sustainable healthcare. The winner of this regional round will advance to the national final during the Health Valley Event on 12 March 2026.
