Luris
Luris is the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and Leiden University. For the past 20 years, Luris has been dedicated to bridging the gap between science and society by evaluating, protecting, and valorizing academic research results.
With extensive experience in intellectual property management and knowledge commercialization, the LUMC team of Luris currently manages around 130 active patent families and approximately 100 license agreements with external partners. In addition, Luris supports the creation of 3–5 new start-ups each year, helping to bring innovative research to market.
This year marks Luris’ 20th anniversary as the dedicated TTO of LUMC and Leiden University — a milestone that reflects our enduring commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and societal impact.
