Space for Health Symposium

Join the Space for Health Symposium in Noordwijk, where leading experts from science, healthcare, space, industry, policy and investment come together to explore how space-enabled technologies can create real impact for health on Earth.

The symposium will focus on four key areas

  • Tissue models – advancing precision and personalised medicine
  • Remote monitoring – enabling autonomous and innovative healthcare systems
  • Bioprinting – exploring regenerative medicine and bioprinting in microgravity
  • Drug discovery – accelerating the development of new medicines

With contributions from experts from ESA, universities, medical centres, industry and the space sector, the event offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover new collaborations and connect with potential partners, funding opportunities and commercial pathways.

Why this symposium? Why now?

Europe is entering a new phase of human spaceflight, commercial low Earth orbit activity, sovereign capability development, and dual-use innovation. At the same time, healthcare systems face increasing pressure from ageing populations, supply-chain vulnerability, workforce shortages, and rising costs.

Despite strong capabilities, many organisations remain insufficiently connected to programmes, funding pathways, commercial opportunities, and cross-sector partners. This symposium aims to transform fragmented excellence into coordinated EU leadership.
