Alumni News: TrianecT Raises €1.35 Million to Launch Portable Stroke Detection Device
We’re proud to share that TrianecT, Venture Challenge Fall 2020 alumnus, has secured a €1.35 million investment from XO Ventures and CbusineZ to accelerate the market launch of StrokePointer™ — the company’s portable diagnostic device designed to detect severe strokes directly in the ambulance.
StrokePointer™ enables ambulance professionals to identify large vessel occlusions (LVOs) — the most serious type of stroke — before the patient arrives at the hospital. This allows faster triage and direct transport to specialized treatment centers, reducing delays and improving outcomes. With one-third of global healthcare costs linked to stroke care, this innovation has the potential to transform how acute stroke cases are handled across Europe.
“This innovation fits perfectly with our mission to make healthcare more efficient and patient-centered,” said Karel Stolper, board member of CbusineZ. “StrokePointer™ enables faster triage, in the right place and at the right time.”
Wouter Potters, CEO and co-founder of TrianecT, added:
“Thanks to this investment—and the strategic involvement of our new partners—we can accelerate the translation of our technology from scientific breakthrough to real-world application. This will ensure every stroke patient receives faster and better care.”
TrianecT was founded in 2022 as a spin-off of Amsterdam UMC and Neuromotion Ventures, and this new investment will support the final steps toward StrokePointer™’s commercial rollout in the Netherlands and across Europe.
