Eurostars Call 9 Opens on July 4 – Apply Now for International R&D Funding
The next opportunity to apply for Eurostars funding is here! On July 4, 2025, the 9th call of the Eurostars-3 programme officially opens. Innovative SMEs and their international partners can submit their proposals until September 4, 2025, 14:00 CET.
What is Eurostars?
Eurostars is a European funding programme that supports international, market-driven research and development (R&D) projects led by innovative SMEs. It aims to accelerate the development and market entry of new products, processes, and services through collaborative cross-border innovation.
Each year, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy makes €22 million available for Dutch participants. The 9th call is co-funded by national governments and the European Union through Horizon Europe.
Who can apply?
To be eligible, your consortium must:

Be led by an innovative SME from a Eurostars country

Include at least two independent entities from two different Eurostars countries

Ensure that SMEs carry at least 50% of the project costs

Focus exclusively on civil applications
Dutch partners must include at least one company in the national part of the consortium to qualify for funding. Knowledge institutions can only participate if a Dutch SME is also involved.

Up to €500,000 in national funding per project (NL share)

Project duration: maximum 36 months
How to apply
The call is managed through the Eureka application portal. Dutch applicants must also submit a national application to RVO once the international proposal is submitted. More information about the application procedure, eligibility, and required documents is available on the RVO website.
