Alumni News: Team Capsule Photonics officially incorporated under the name Lumeniris

We’re thrilled to share that Capsule Photonics, winner of the Venture Challenge Winter 2024/2025, has officially incorporated under the name Lumeniris.

“Last week we went to the notary to incorporate. With that milestone comes a fresh identity. We’ve changed our name from Capsule Photonics to Lumeniris. More good news will follow soon!”

The team continues its mission to revolutionize early cancer detection. Their innovation, LightUp, is a pill-sized diagnostic capsule that combines structural and molecular imaging. With the ability to detect over 95% of early-stage esophageal cancers, LightUp aims to drastically improve patient outcomes while reducing the burden on the healthcare system.

This milestone marks an exciting new chapter for the team behind Lumeniris, and we look forward to seeing their impact grow in the coming months.
