Alumni news: CC Diagnostics wins LIFE Science Innovation Award 2025

Venture Challenge alumnus Spring 2017 CC Diagnostics has been awarded the LIFE Science Innovation Award 2025 during the LIFE Science Conference in Forum Groningen. The award, organised by the LIFE Cooperative, recognises the most promising life sciences innovations in the Northern Netherlands.

CC Diagnostics secured the €7,500 prize and the Innovation Award challenge trophy after a competitive finale. The jury praised the company’s innovative approach in developing diagnostic solutions with strong potential for patient impact.

The LIFE Science Conference 2025 marked its fourth edition, with the central theme Sustainability in healthcare. Highlights included keynotes by Prof. Jochen Mierau (UMCG, Lifelines) and Annelies de Lange-Douma (Vereniging Innovatieve Geneesmiddelen), and the presentation of the developing Industry Agenda of the LIFE Cooperative.

The event also featured the awarding of two Royal Honours (Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau) by Mayor Roelien Kamminga to Ton Vries and Johannes Wolters for their longstanding contributions to the LIFE Cooperative and the regional science ecosystem.
