Alumni News: Sencilia (Venture Challenge Spring 2023) secures investment from Future Tech Ventures and imec.istart.nl
MedTech startup Sencilia, alumnus of the Venture Challenge Spring 2023, has secured an investment from Future Tech Ventures and imec.istart.nl to advance the development of its Rely-V® infusion monitoring sensor technology.
The funding will support the establishment of a quality management system (QMS), the collection of clinical data in neonatal intensive care units, and progress along regulatory pathways. These steps are critical in bringing Sencilia’s solution closer to market and addressing the unmet need for safer, more reliable monitoring of intravenous infusion therapy for neonatal and pediatric patients.
Founded by Amar Kamat, Natanael Gomes, Felix Wood, Thom van der Honing, Iris Hannelore Borger, Lúcia Bonci Cavalca, Ethan Luu and Ajay Giri Prakash Kottapalli, Sencilia is developing a real-time, highly accurate, and user-friendly sensor technology designed to improve patient safety and clinical workflows.
Future Tech Ventures emphasized that Sencilia’s innovation has the potential to transform infusion therapy across vulnerable patient groups and a range of clinical settings. imec.istart.nl reaffirmed its support, highlighting the technology’s importance for advancing patient safety and efficiency in hospitals.
