Henri Termeer Fellowship 2026: Leadership Programme for Early-Stage Biotech CEOs

The Termeer Institute, an organisation dedicated to empowering life sciences leaders and continuing the legacy of Henri Termeer, has opened applications for its 2026 Fellowship Programme. This initiative is designed for first-time CEOs of early-stage biotech companies and offers access to a peer network, strategic mentorship, and tailored leadership development.

The programme focuses on developing values-driven leadership through:

  • Executive coaching and mentoring

  • Peer cohort learning and network-building

  • Strategic guidance from experienced biotech leaders

  • Comprehensive skills development across key competency areas

Through this support, fellows are equipped to navigate complex decision-making, strengthen their organisations, and contribute meaningfully to the broader biotech ecosystem. Outcomes for participants include greater leadership confidence, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and deeper integration in the international life sciences community.

Application Process

The first step in applying is to complete the prescreen. Selected applicants will then be invited to submit a full application. The application deadline for the prescreen is 10 October 2025.

Alternative Path: The Termeer Transatlantic Connections Award

In collaboration with Health~Holland, the Termeer Institute also offers the Transatlantic Connections Award. This award recognises two promising biotech entrepreneurs — one from the Netherlands and one from Massachusetts — who are leading innovative biomedical research and strengthening transatlantic collaborations. Recipients of the award automatically join the Termeer Fellows Programme and the broader Termeer Network.
