Alumni News: Saturn Pelvic Health wins Innovation Promise 2025

Venture Challenge Spring 2023 alumnus Saturn Pelvic Health has been named the Innovation Promise of 2025 in the Health & Nutrition category of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100. With this recognition, Saturn Pelvic Health has officially been ranked as the most innovative company in its field for 2025.

Saturn Pelvic Health is developing an adjustable, personalised pessary for women with Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP)—a condition affecting nearly 50% of women over 40 and profoundly impacting daily life. Current treatment options, including surgery and standard pessaries, frequently fall short due to discomfort, complications, or poor fit.

Saturn’s innovation offers a tailored solution that adapts to each woman’s unique pelvic anatomy, ensuring comfort, optimal support, and reduced treatment discontinuation. The technology, developed in collaboration with gynaecologists and engineers from Radboudumc and Zuyderland Medical Center, is protected by a 2020 granted patent and is currently showing strong results in an ongoing clinical study, including a 100% successful fit and reported symptom relief.

With a global POP patient population estimated at 700 million women, and a rapidly growing pessary market, Saturn is preparing for market entry starting in the Netherlands, followed by Europe, the US, and beyond.

“This recognition confirms the importance of bringing meaningful, patient-centred innovation to women’s health,” the team shared.
“Our mission is to restore comfort, autonomy, and quality of life for women worldwide.”

Saturn’s accolade highlights the strength of their science, design, and clinical vision—and showcases the growing impact of FemTech innovations emerging from the Dutch ecosystem.
