ATRO wins Startup Pitch Award at HealthTech Investor Summit 2025

ATRO has been awarded the Startup Pitch Award at the HealthTech Investor Summit (HTIS) 2025, where co-founder Maarten van der Zanden ranked first in the startup pitch competition.

The award recognises ATRO’s work on developing the world’s first artificial meniscus, a breakthrough innovation aimed at improving treatment options for patients with knee injuries. The jury highlighted the team’s strong clinical relevance, technical innovation and clear path toward impact in orthopaedic care.

The HealthTech Investor Summit brings together startups, investors and industry leaders from across Europe, providing a platform for emerging healthtech companies to showcase their innovations and connect with potential partners.
