Syntric Medical wins MedTech Venture Challenge Winter 2025/2026!
The winner of the MedTech Venture Challenge Winter 2025/2026 was announced today at Innovation for Health. We are proud to share that Syntric Medical has been selected as this year’s winner!
Syntric Medical is developing a CT-guided solution to improve needle placement during lung biopsies; a key challenge in early-stage cancer diagnosis. Their technology compensates for patient breathing, enabling more accurate tissue sampling, and the potential for safer, more reliable diagnosis.
A clear jury decision
The jury, consisting of Carine Van Den Brink (Axon Lawyers), Mercedes Tuin (HERAN Partners), Pommeline Korstanje (Gilde Healthcare), Jaap De Bruin (PrecorDx), and Raymond Beijen (Demcon life sciences & health) was highly impressed by Syntric’s work.
They praised the team’s strong expertise and well-thought-out, realistic development plan, highlighting a clear understanding of both the scientific and clinical landscape. The jury was very impressed by the potential of the technology to enable earlier cancer diagnosis and ensure patients receive timely and effective treatment, ultimately improving outcomes for millions worldwide.
