Venture Challenge Fall 2020: Meet the teams

Merely a couple of weeks after the Finals of the Venture Challenge summer Edition, six new teams started their Venture Challenge adventure in the Fall 2020 edition with their first bootcamp at Pivot Park.

After a warm welcome by Brigitte Drees, CEO of Pivot Park, the highly-motivated teams worked on shaping their value propositions, vision and competitive differentiation to translate their idea into a solid business case. Ronald van der Geest, managing partner of 3D-Pharmxchange, shared valuable insights, tips and tricks on the good, the bad and the ugly of clinical trials and Guido Zaman, managing director of NTRC and former Venture Challenge participant himself, shared his personal experiences and lessons learned. The six teams participating in this Venture Challenge are developing innovative solutions in Therapeutics, Diagnostics and Medical Devices. In the coming weeks, they will explore their markets and, eventually, pitch their business plan to a jury and audience of life sciences investors. The winning team will receive € 25,000 to build their business.

Chretien Herben, Programme Director LS@W: “Thanks to the flexibility of our partners and the willingness of the speakers and teams to works within the COVID restriction and keep their social distance and wear face masks we can continue with the Venture Challenge in a physical format ensuring maximum interaction between the teams”
